Step 1: Get Socket items.

Socket items are equipment items which have Sockets bound to them. You can insert special items known as Seed Spheres into these Sockets to add additional options to the item! These Seed Spheres can be crafted, via NPC Seed Master, by refining excellent and ancient items into a Seed.

You can check which bosses drop Socket items here. To use Socket items you must be at least 400 levels.

Step 2: Create a Seed.

Create a seed through NPC Seed master at Elbeland (46x243), Lorencia (129x148) or Loren Market (125x132). Choose Seed Extraction. The success rate depends on the level and items used for combination. Here you can see the possible outcome of the combination.

In case of success:

A seed will be created.

In case of fail:

All the items that were put into combination will disappear.

Step 3: Combine a seed and a sphere.

To build a Seed Sphere, besides the Seed you will need an Empty Sphere.
There are 5 types of Empty Spheres:

Spheres and Seeds do not have any function or effects as they are, and you cannot mount them to socket alone. Visit NPC Seed Master as before to combine a seed and a seed sphere and create Seed Sphere. Choose Seed Sphere Assembly.

When it's successful:
A seed sphere will be created. Once it is mounted to a socket item, it will give the item a special option. The better quality the sphere has, the stronger option it will induce.

When it fails:
All the items that were put into combination will disappear.
